Nick Brind has 16 years experience, investing across a range of asset classes. Including European financials, UK equities, fixed-income, closed-end funds and private equity. Previously he managed the New Star Financial Opportunities Fund from March 2003 to March 2009. This fund produced a return of +40.5% vs its benchmark return of -27.6%. Prior to joining New Star, Nick managed the Exeter Capital Growth Fund from January 1997 to August 2003. During this period he delivered +68.8% return vs the FTSE All Share Index +19.1%. This placed him in the top decile of the UK All Companies sector over this period. The fund is run with input from other members of the Investment team and Industry specialists.
